Snow Storm, Texas, Snow Storm

The week after our birthday we got one of the worst snow storms we have ever had since moving to Kansas 6 years ago.  It started snowing on Wed.(Feb. 20th) and by Thurs. morning this is what we woke up too.

 Since moving here we have never needed a shovel until now.  We didn't even own a snow shovel so, thankfully our neighbors let us borrow one.

 Our older neighbor had fallen so they had to call an ambulance, but they couldn't get into our neighborhood.  Andrew helped them shovel their driveway so they could drive him to the main road.

Lucky for us we had a trip planned to Texas that weekend so we were able to get away from the snow!  On Saturday Winter and I ran the Cook Children's 5K.  It was her first race every.  Then on Sunday Andrew ran his second half marathon!

 On the way back it we stopped in OKC to buy some shovels since we were supposed to get more snow.  I called a couple places in Wichita and they were all sold out.

 Monday and Tuesday school was called off since we did indeed get a bunch more snow.

 Finally a clean driveway!

 

It took a week but all this snow finally melted!
