For lunch we went to Central Grocery to try one of their famous Muffulettas. I liked it, Andrew and Weston thought it was so-so, and of course, Winter hated it. Since Winter still needed to eat lunch we took the kids to The Camellia Grill. This place is great!! The servers are amazing and so funny! We loved it so much we ate dessert here the next day too! *We ate at the one in the French Quarter.
After that we walked up to Bourbon Street so Andrew could stop into Pat O'Briens for a famous Hurricane. Then we hopped back on the streetcar to tour the Garden District. Weston was wore out and slept for most of it. When we finished the tour, it was time for dinner. Andrew's pick was Acme Oyster House and it was delicious. The oysters are amazing!! If it was more kid friendly I probably could have ate every meal here. We were all exhausted by the time we finished dinner so we decided to call it a night and head back to the hotel. We did have to stop and get some beignets for breakfast the next morning though!
When we got done we were ready for lunch so we went to Cochon Butcher. It was another restaurant that Andrew did a great job in picking. It was not Winter friendly though, but we packed her a lunch so she was good. After lunch we parked in the French Quarter and walked to Mardi Gras World. It was fun, but it is one of those things that you only need to do once. We did learn some new facts and the kids got to try kings cake for the first time!
We were all pretty tired from the two mile walk to Mardi Gras World(the map made it look closer) that we walked a mile to the streetcar and took that the rest of the way. Since we could use our streetcar pass on the Algiers Ferry we rode that across the river and back for fun. We also rode the Canel Streetcar up to the cemeteries. It was starting it get dark so we decided to not get out and walk around.
By the time we got back to the French Quarter it was dinner time. We didn't have anyplace planned for this night so we walked around for a little bit looking for a place. We decided on Felix's Restaurant and Oyster Bar. It was much more kid friendly. The kids even tried alligator for the first time and liked it. Granted we did tell them it was chicken fingers!! We got dessert at The Camellia Grill next. After dinner we bought some souvenirs before heading back to our hotel.
Weston being a stinker!
The kids wanted a picture with everything!
Where's Weston?!?
Weston's hat fell down and she didn't realize it before she took the picture. When I looked down, I noticed it so I moved it up. He was laughing and said he couldn't move it since his outfit was too big and his arms were stuck! The lady told Weston he made her day since he just sat there so perfect waiting for someone to notice.

Winter thought it was pretty funny that Weston's mardi gra beads turned his neck green.
We ended up waking up the next morning and driving the 13 hours home in one day. We had planned to divide up the drive but something had come up so we needed to get back. It wasn't a bad drive and the kids did really well. It was a great trip and we all had so much fun!!!
